Milovan happy with Stars turnout

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has conceded he would have been much happier with a win from Wednesday’s international friendly against Tunisia in Accra.

The Black Stars drew goalless with Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles at the Ohene Djan Stadium with both sides hitting the goalpost.

Despite the absence of some six regular players - Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston, Anthony Annan, Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah, the experienced Serbian was however satisfied with the output of his team.

Rajevac was not expecting total domination over the Tunisians after fielding a team which comprised of debutants and some returning squad members.

However, the Black Stars coach says the game has given him a good idea about how his team plans for the future as Ghana prepares to begin the campaign for the 2010 qualifiers next year.

"It was an important exercise as I have now given the fair chance to some of the players who were not considered in the past," Rajevac said.

"It could have been better but I am no unsatisfied with the performance. If we had scored it would have been much better.

"We did not have many key players because of injuries but we also need a very strong bench so in the absence of the key player they can step in.

"Tunisia are a very strong side and they provided us with the test we needed. Now we must start preparing for the game against Benin."

Ghana begins the 2010 qualifiers against Benin on March 28.

Perhaps if the big players like Stephen Appiah and Michael Essien had played, things would have been very different.

This coach is not serious at all. HOW CAN he be satisfied with such a result. How is Ghana going to win the world cup with such a performance.

I think this coach know what he is doing though. Ghana can win matches with him in charge.

You believe this coach can take Ghana to South Africa 2010?
